The Complaint Ratio is based on total consumer complaints received for each company compared to the complaints for all companies. This calculation provides the company's "Complaint Share" of all nation-wide complaints. The company's "Complaint Share" is then compared to the national median to arrive at the Complaint Ratio.
A ratio of 1.00 is the National Median Complaint Ratio. A ratio below 1.00 means the company had fewer complaints than the national median. A ratio above 1.00 means the company had more complaints than the national median.
