- NM Insurance Division Receives 5-Year NAIC Accreditation – The
New Mexico Insurance Division is proud to announce that it has
received the full five-year accreditation with the National Association
of Insurance Commissioners. This is not an easy task - some states fail
or do not receive the full five years. Fact is, we did not just pass
but we had very high scores.
Other states may rely on the New Mexico Insurance Division’s examinations.
If we were not accredited, other states would be required to examine
our domestic insurance companies. Since we are accredited, the insurance
companies do not have to pay multiple states for examinations, ours satisfies
requirements in other states as well. (August 30, 2005.)
